This pendant features genuine Libyan Desert Glass, a rare impactite found only in the Great Sand Sea of the eastern Sahara. Formed approximately 28.5 million years ago, this translucent gold glass is the result of a massive meteoric eventeither a direct impact or a high-altitude airburstthat flash-melted the desert sand at temperatures exceeding $1,600C$.
